GOSC has submitted comments for the Open Session of the 58th meeting of EU Competent Authorities for REACH and CLP (CARACAL), addressing the 2026 update of the Restrictions Roadmap.

GOSC welcomes ECHA’s conclusion that no REACH restriction is needed for DOTE (CAS 15571-58-1). This conclusion follows ECHA’s Article 69(2) assessment, completed in December 2025, and provides important regulatory clarity for manufacturers and downstream users of DOTE.

GOSC also supports the European Commission’s request for ECHA to conduct a two-year scoping study on organotin substances following its investigation of PVC and PVC additives.

GOSC considers scientifically derived Occupational Exposure Limits (OELs) and established workplace controls to be effective and proportionate measures for managing occupational exposure to DOTE and organotin compounds generally.

GOSC remains committed to working with EU authorities and providing scientific, exposure and industry information to support appropriate, evidence-based risk management.
